The gospel choir from Hanerau-Hademarschen and the surrounding area consists of about 60 singers, who together with the 5-member backing band - the Rhythm Souls - characterize the characteristic sound of the choir.
With a mixture of expressive vocals with a piano / bass foundation as well as rhythm section (cajon, conga, percussion), songs with Christian content, ie gospels, are interpreted in different musical styles.
Anniversary concert 2017
From spirituals to pop gospels, pop classics or Latin jazz, from the classic gospel to a sustained ballad with a goosebump guarantee, the Gospelling Souls repertoire covers a wide range and leaves nothing to be desired.
The Gospelling Souls have now performed over 200 concerts and performances, sung to a very small audience but also harvested in large halls frenetic applause.
On their travels they have u.a. given concerts in Switzerland, Scotland, Heidelberg and Berlin.
The contact to other music groups and choirs, for example in the form of community concerts, has always been a major concern of the Gospelling Souls.
Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland 2014
Special sounds and moments open up to the listener, which not only come from the mind, but also from the heart and the belly, that is, from the whole person.
In this way, an audience that is initially banished will have an audience that actively sings along, follows the rhythm and the movements, dances and claps.
